The CEIT-cancer Project

Comparative Effectiveness of Innovative Treatments for cancer

Patients with cancer need treatments that improve survival and quality of life. Several programs aim to accelerate drug development and marketing approval. There are increasing concerns that this acceleration restricts the knowledge on benefits and harms of novel drugs.
In the Comparative Effectiveness of Innovative Treatments for cancer (CEIT-Cancer) project, we collect and assess this early evidence described in approval documents for all US FDA approved cancer drugs.

We aim to provide a systematic, comprehensive and transparent overview of all evidence supporting the approval of novel cancer therapies in the new CEIT-cancer database, accessible through this dedicated website.

We hope this will help to improve evidence-based decision-making in policy and practice, and facilitate translation of our analyses into research and patient care.

Rationale and Design of the CEIT database, please see Trials 19, 505 (2018).
